Japan's Osaka Kansai International Airport passenger numbers up 25% - traffic highlights for Jun-2012:

  • Passenger numbers: 1.3 million, +25.0% year-on-year;
    • Domestic: 384,649, +38.5%;
    • International: 895,652, +20.0%;
  • Cargo volume: 60,201 tons, +0.5%;
    • Domestic: 2638, -0.6%;
    • International: 57,563, +0.5%;
  • Aircraft movements: 10,276, +19.1%;
    • Domestic: 3330, +23.2%;
    • International: 6946, +17.2%.

The airport also reported passenger numbers at the airport exceeded 300 million in Jun-2012 including 111.0 million domestic and 189 million international passengers. Passenger numbers at the airport exceeded 100 million in Jan-2000 and exceeded 200 million in Nov-2005. Osaka Kansai Airport commenced operations in Sep-1994.
