Orlando Sanford Airport sees record traffic in 2013 with 2 million pax, projects 10% growth in 2014

US' Orlando Sanford International Airport reported (06-Jan-2014) a record year in 2013 with more than two million passengers, a 12% year-on-year increase and breaking its previous record of 1.8 million set in 2008. The airport welcomed its two millionth passenger for the year on 27-Dec-2013. Orlando Sanford International Airport also recorded new monthly highs in seven months, while recording greater than 100,000 passengers every month of the year, including three months of greater than 200,000. The airport's main carrier, Allegiant Air was responsible for more than 77% of the total traffic with 1.6 million passengers.
