Nigerian Airlines expected to increase fares due to fuel hike

Nigerian Airlines are expected to increase fares shortly, following the increase of JET-A1 aviation fuel from NGN116 to NGN126 per litre (All Africa, 10-Jan-2011). At present, airlines currently charge between USD118 (NGN18,000) and USD131 (NGN20,000) for every one hour flight in the country. The Airline Operators of Nigeria scheduled a meeting for 10-Jan-2011 to discuss the new increase.
