Nigeria confirms airport privatisation plans

Nigeria's Minister of Aviation, Fidelia Njeze, confirmed the Government is planning to privatise the country's airports (This Day, 27-Jul-2010).

Ministry of Aviation: "Privatisation is the way but we want to spend time to plan, so that once we do it, we get it right. If we concession right now, we already know the problem we are having with concessions … Definitely, we must revisit the issue of privatising the airports but government must play its own role in making sure that we upgrade the facilities."
