Munich Airport announces Aug-2011 traffic; pax up 4.7%, cargo down

Germany's Munich Airport announced the following traffic highlights in Aug-2011:

• Passenger numbers: 3,421,775, +4.7%;
• Cargo volume: 23,198 tonnes, -5.5%;
• Aircraft movements: 34,821, +2.1%.
