Mumbai Airport announces 7.7% increase in Oct-2011 traffic; 11.3% reduction in cargo volume

India's Mumbai Airport passenger numbers up 7.7% - traffic highlights for Oct-2011:

  • Passenger numbers: 2.5 million, +7.7% year-on-year;
    • Domestic: 1.7 million, +7.7%;
    • International: 790,129, +7.8%;
  • Cargo volume: 53,835 tonnes, -11.3%;
    • Domestic: 15,391, -17.5%;
    • International: 38,444, -8.6%;
  • Aircraft movements: 26,804, +32.1%;
    • Domestic: 15,151, +4.4%;
    • International: 6356, +9.8%.
