Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport reports 17% increase in 2011 pax to 22.6 million

Russia's Moscow Sheremetyevo International Airport reports third consecutive year of growth of 16.7% in 2011 - traffic highlights:

  • Passenger numbers: 22.6 million, +16.7%;
    • Domestic: 8.4 million, +14.3%;
    • International: 14.5 million, +18.1%;
  • Aircraft movements: 210,740, +14.2%.

Dec-2011 passenger traffic increased 23.8% to 1.7 million. The largest increase in passengers were recorded on services operated by Aeroflot, Transaero, Nordavia, Donavia, Nord Wind, Aerosvit, Air France and Turkish Airlines.
