LOT Polish Airlines takes delivery of first 787-8

LOT Polish Airlines took delivery of its first Boeing 787-8 aircraft on 08-Nov-2012, according to The News Poland. The airline was the first European airline to purchase the aircraft and has eight on order. LOT will initially operate the aircraft to Prague on 14-Dec-2012 followed by its first trans-Atlantic service to Chicago in Jan-2013. The airline will also operate the aircraft to Toronto and New York from Feb-2013 and to Beijing in Mar-2013. LOT has configured its 787s with 252 seats in a three-class layout including business, premium economy and economy class.
