LOT Polish Airlines completes 1000 services with first 787-8

LOT Polish Airlines stated (27-Aug-2014) its first Boeing 787-8 aircraft has now completed 1000 services, with the carrier's sixth 787-8 aircraft setting a monthly record of 500 block hours in Jul-2014. LOT Polish Airlines COO Ewa Kołowiecka said: "The operating data of LOT's Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircrafts prove that those are modern and increasingly reliable airplanes which are gradually recovering from their early 'childhood' problems. They also prove that we can manage our fleet very effectively. The Dreamliners operate mainly on scheduled flights to the USA, Canada and China, but they also operate charter flights, particularly in winter, when they are less used on regular routes due to the lower season."
