Lebanese airline to be launched by Dubai-based expat

Dubai-based Lebanese businessman, Georges Mousa, reportedly announced plans to launch a full service airline from Lebanon within the next 18 months, subject to regulatory approval (Gulf News, 06-May-2010). Mr Mousa stated the name of the airline is yet to be decided and stated he has two partners in the Gulf to launch the venture with. Mr Mousa owns Planet Group, a travel agent and travel service company in Dubai. Planet Group is investing USD272 million in hotel development in the UAE. Lebanon is expected to open its skies in 2012.

Planet Group:
"The plan for the airline is ready. However, we will have to wait for the Lebanese Government to open up the skies for competition. Together, we have enough resources to fund the start-up airline and run it successfully," Georges Mousa, Owner. Source: Gulf News, 06-May-2010.
