Latvian Government issues final approval for airBaltic investment plan

Latvia's Government approved plans to issue EUR80 million to airBaltic (CNBC/Delfi/LETA, 03-Dec-2015). As previously reported by CAPA, Latvia plans to sell 20% of airBaltic to German investor Ralf Dieter Montag-Girmes for EUR52 million and invest EUR80 million in the airline. The carrier expressed an interest in acquisition of Bombardier CS300 aircraft. Latvian Government discussed plans to include a clause in the carrier's shareholders agreement, banning acquisition, leasing or deployment of equipment with connections to companies that participate in military activity.
