JVs more important to Qantas Group than global alliances due to better returns

Qantas Group CEO Alan Joyce, speaking at the CAPA Australia Pacific Aviation Summit, said (05-Aug-2016) JVs are more important to the carrier than global alliances "because they do generate a very significant return on performance on our network." Mr Joyce added: "I think that the rest of the alliance is important, not on the same level as JVs, but is important because our customers want that range [of destinations]."
