Jetstar says AirAsia re-entering Japan is 'not going to be easy' for them, planning for entry

Jetstar Group CEO Jayne Hrdlicka, at the CAPA Australia Pacific Aviation Summit, said (05-Aug-2015) Japan is "not going to be easy" for AirAsia to re-enter. Ms Hrdlicka explained: "We're very mindful of the possible impact that could have and we're planning for that… We're now the 4th largest carrier in Japan, we're 60% of the low fares market," adding: "We fully intend to hold our leadership position and we're making big investments on a forward looking standpoint to maintain that leadership position."
