Jetstar key to Qantas' Asia strategy

Qantas stated it plans to expand further into the high-growth Asian region, and CEO Alan Joyce confirmed Jetstar will be the main driver of the group's push into the region (The Nation, 19-Feb-2011). Jetstar is Australia's second-most profitable airline behind Qantas. Jetstar Asia, the group's Singapore-based subsidiary, contributed a record profit to Jetstar's result.
