Jetstar Japan announces Hong Kong as first international destination

Jetstar Japan announced (03-Dec-2014) plans to launch three times weekly Osaka Kansai-Hong Kong service with 180-seat A320 from 28-Feb-2015, marking the LCC's first international route since commencing operations in 2012 - see Route Changes Table for more information. The LCC plans to increase frequency on the sector gradually. CEO Miyuki Suzuki said international services would play an important contribution to strengthening the airline's operations and financial performance, commenting: "The announcement of international services is a very positive next step in the evolution of our presence in Japan as the country's largest low cost carrier. These services build on the international network of other Jetstar branded airlines operating to Japan." Fares will start from JPY5990 (USD59.9) with reservation opening on 03-Dec-2014 at 16:00.
