JetGo Australia to make decision shortly on delivery timing of three E140LRs

JetGo Australia MD Paul Bredereck, speaking on CAPA TV, said (19-Aug-2015) delays in taking delivery of three Embraer E140LR aircraft on lease from Republic Airways are due to "considerable modification work" required to meet Australian requirements, including ADS-B and RNP 10. Mr Bredereck explained: "Republic Airways carried that work out late last year, but obtaining FAA certification has taken a lot longer than we hoped and a lot longer than expected." Mr Bredereck continued: "Now it's purely a matter of timing around the economics, with the further downturn in the charter side of the business due to the collapse in oil and gas prices... We have delayed taking those and we'll probably come to a decision in the next month or so as to the timing of the delivery of those aircraft." According to the CAPA Fleet Database, JetGo Australia currently operate a fleet of three Embraer E135. As previously reported by CAPA, the first E140LR was expected in Australia before 31-Aug-2014.
