Japanese LCC revenue and yield growth exceeds full service carriers in Dec-2014 quarter

Japan MLITT reported (11-Mar-2015) the following domestic traffic highlights for Japanese carriers for three months ended 31-Dec-2014:

  • Passenger revenue per passenger: JPY14,500 (USD127.8), +2.1%;
  • Passenger revenue per RPK: JPY15.8 (USD 13.9 cents), stable;
    • JAL: JPY16.9 (USD 14.9 cents), +0.6%;
    • ANA: JPY17.5 (USD 15.4 cents), +1.2%;
    • JTA: JPY12.4 (USD 10.9 cents), +3.3%;
    • Skymark: JPY12.0 (USD 10.6 cents), stable;
    • Air Do: JPY14.9 (USD 13.1 cents), -5.1%;
    • Solaseed: JPY13.4 (USD 11.8 cents), +2.3%;
    • StarFlyer; JPY15.6 (USD 13.8 cents), +3.3%;
    • Peach: JPY7.6 (USD 6.7 cents), -6.2%;
    • Jetstar Japan: JPY7.6 (USD 6.7 cents), +15.2%;
    • Vanilla Air: JPY5.7 (USD 5.0 cents), stable;
    • Spring Airlines Japan: JPY5.6 (USD 4.9 cents);
