Japan Transport Ministry will not lower airport landing fees in fiscal 2011, citing further cuts would hinder adequate airport maintenance (The Nikkei, 24-Aug-2010). The ministry considered reducing fees for a third straight year. The ministry also aims to reduce the airport fuel tax by 50%.
