Japan and China agree to increase Tokyo Haneda-China capacity

Japan MLITT announced (19-May-2015) Japan and China have agreed to increase services between Tokyo Haneda Airport and China from eight to 20 per day, effective in late Oct-2015. Both Japanese and Chinese airlines will be allocated the new slots evenly. Japan and China also agreed to allow airlines that are ready to do so to offer late night and early morning services at Tokyo Haneda as well as to add services out of Tokyo Narita during the current summer schedule. Tokyo Haneda currently has four daily round-trip services to/from Beijing and another four serving Shanghai. Four frequencies will be added to each route, and a Tokyo Haneda-Guangzhou route with four daily frequencies will also launch. Japan and China reached a basic agreement on the service increases in Aug-2012 but it was not made effective due to deteriorating relations between the countries. [more - original PR - Japanese]
