Japan Airlines looks at USD600m capital injection

Japan Airlines chairman Kazuo Inamori stated the Japanese Government may boost the carrier's capital by USD600 million (Bloomberg/Reuters, 02-Oct-2010). The carrier is in negotiations with the Enterprise Turnaround Initiative Corporation of Japan, which is serving as the airline's rehabilitation administrator, about the added investment. The additional investment is expected to raise JAL's capital ratio to approximately 10%.
