JAL Express merges into JAL on 01-Oct-2014

Japan Airlines announced (01-Oct-2014) JAL Express was merged into the carrier on 01-Oct-2014 as planned, ending the 17-year history of JAL Express. All 41 of JAL Express' aircraft will now operate directly under JAL and repainting of aircraft will be completed by 2016. The carrier said the merger stabilises JAL Group's domestic operations for the long-term. JAL announced plans for the integration on 26-Mar-2014. [more - original PR - Japanese]
