IndiGo receives permission to operate on international sectors

India's Civil Aviation Minister Vayalar Ravi stated IndiGo has received permission to operate on international sectors (PTI, 09-Mar-2011). As per guidelines stipulated for international operations, Indian scheduled carriers must have continuous operations of at least five years in the domestic sector and a minimum fleet size of 20 aircraft. "As per the above guidelines, IndiGo Airlines has been granted permission recently to operate on international sectors," Mr Ravi said.
