India and Austria hold talks to enhance civil aviation cooperation

India's Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Austria's Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology met (03-Oct-2012) to discuss possibilities of enhancing bilateral cooperation in civil aviation. During the talks, India raised the issue of substantial ownership and effective control of Austrian Airlines due to its takeover by Lufthansa. The Austrian side was requested to clarify the shareholding pattern of Austrian Airlines. Austrian Airlines operates six times weekly Vienna-Delhi service. Capacity entitlements under the bilateral air services agreement between the two countries are 14 services per week for each side in each direction. [more - original PR]
