IATA requests US DoT delays new flight and runway regulation

IATA filed with the US Department of Transportation requesting a six-month delay of the introduction of new regulations regarding flight delays (AP, 24-Jun-2011). IATA is concerned that the regulations impose new penalties for its members. The Air Transport Association and two other US transport groups have also requested that the DoT delay the regulation.
