IAA and NATS publish fourth UK-Ireland FAB plan for 2012-2015

Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) and NATS announced (14-Jun-2012) they published UK-Ireland Functional Airspace Block (FAB) Plan for the period 2012-2015 and their annual report on progress achieved in 2011. The FAB was established in 2008 and is assisting the area to meet objectives of the Single European Sky legislation. The FAB is also enabling reductions in fuel consumption, leading to a carbon emissions reduction of 152,000 tonnes over 2008-2011. NATS director operations Prestwick Pauline Lamb said, "The UK-Ireland FAB has already delivered, and continues to deliver, significant benefits to our customers.
