GOL restructures its international network from Aug-2012

GOL announced (11-Jul-2012) the following route changes to its international route network from Aug-2012 - see Route Changes for more information:

  • Sao Paulo-Asuncion: New daily service from 15-Nov-2012 with 144-seat Boeing 737-700 equipment, replacing previous service operated via Curitiba. According to Innovata, Gol will compete with TAM Paraguay on the route;
  • Sao Paulo-Montevideo: New daily service from 15-Nov-2012 with 737-800 equipment, replacing previous service operated via Porto Alegre. According to Innovata, Gol will compete with TAM on the route;
  • Sao Paulo-Santa Cruz: New daily service to be launched by Sep-2012 utilising 144-seat 737-700 equipment. The service will replace the current one-stop service via Camp Grande. According to Innovata, Gol will compete with Boliviana de Aviación on the route;
  • Curitiba-Buenos Aires Ezeiza: Daily service operating non-stop from 15-Aug-2012 replacing the current one-stop service via Asuncion. The route will originate to/from Viracopos utilising 737-800 equipment. According to Innovata, Gol will be the sole operator on the route;
  • Porto Alegre-Buenos Aires Ezeiza: Frequency increase from daily to 13 times weekly on 15-Aug-2012 utilising a 737-700/737-800 mix. According to Innovata, Gol will be the sole operator on the route. [more - original PR]
