Global Infrastructure Partners announces investment by CalPERS in Gatwick

UK's London Gatwick Airport owner, Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), announced (18-Jun-2010) it has reached agreement with the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) for CalPERS to take a 12.7% shareholding in the airport, as part of GIP's previously announced sell down of its Gatwick equity holding. The stake is worth up to GBP106 million. GIP will continue to retain a controlling shareholding in Gatwick. [more - GIP] [more - CalPERS]
