Garuda Indonesia and Lion Air interested in running airports

Garuda Indonesia and Lion Air are reportedly interested in running up to 10 airports which have been offered to the private sector for development by Indonesia's Government (indo-aviation.com, 05-Dec-2013). The airports include Lampung Radin Inten Airport, Jayapura Sentani Airport, Palu Pearls Airport and Labuan Bajo Komodo Airport. A Garuda Indonesia commissioner reportedly said, "We are interested if the price is right." Lion Air has reportedly sent a letter to Indonesia's Directorate General of Civil Aviation Ministry of Transportation expressing its interest in running the airports.
