First B787 delivery to Air India now expected in 2012

India's Civil Aviation Ministry reportedly stated Boeing will miss its B787 delivery schedule to Air India, with delivery reportedly now expected in 2012 instead of Dec-2011. Civil Aviation Minister Vayalar Ravi told Telegraph India, "the latest delivery schedule provided by Boeing is under discussion with the airline".

According to OAG iFleet, Air India is scheduled to receive two B787s in 2012, one in 2013, 11 in 2014, four in 2015 and two B787s in 2016. The carrier is, however, yet to receive final government approval for the acquisition.
