FAAN to ground debtor carriers

Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) announced it will ground carriers that are indebted NGN2 billion for services rendered by the agency (punchng, 20-Dec-2010). Assistant Secretary General, Airlines Operators of Nigeria, Alhaji Muhammed Tukur, decried a situation where FAAN can give short notice to a carrier it plans to ground for defaulting on payments.
