Emirates sees market power as 'final nail in the coffin' as Continental joins Star

Emirates stated (05-Aug-2009) it believes the approval of Continental Airlines to Star Alliance, and the approval of the JV agreement between Air Canada, United Airlines, Lufthansa and Continental will "result in carriers… increasing their market power and effective dominance at many of the world's largest airports and on many of the most important European, American and Asian routes".
