Embraer order backlog reaches USD22.1bn record

Embraer reported (15-Oct-2014) its firm order backlog reached USD22.1 billion at the end of 3Q2014, the highest in the company's history and up from USD18.1 billion at the end of 2Q2014. The increase was driven mainly by the signing of a contract for the KC-390 military transport and a firm order for 50 E175 signed with Republic Airways Holdings Inc. Another highlight of the quarter was the firm order for 15 E-Jets, comprising the E170 and E190 models, signed with Japan Airlines, with deliveries set to begin in 2015. [more - original PR]
