Embraer and Republic Airways Holdings sign USD2.1bn contract for 50 E175s

Embraer signed (17-Sep-2014) a USD2.1 billion contract with Republic Airways Holdings for the sale and purchase of 50 firm E175 aircraft. The aircraft will be operated for United Airlines under the United Express brand. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the 3Q2015 and extend until 2017. This contract is in addition to a previous Jan-2013 order for 47 firm and 47 option E175s, 34 of which have already been delivered. Republic also maintains 32 options for E175s. [more - original PR]
