EADS announced it is involved in a number of acquisition moves in the US in the defence and security sectors, as well as other business areas (AFP, 12-Jan-2010). EADS had stated it planned to invest EUR1 billion-2 billion of its EUR10 billion in free cash to acquire North American interests.
