Dublin Airport to have almost two million extra seats in summer 2015

Dublin Airport said it would have almost two million extra seats in summer 2015, a 11% year-on-year increase from summer 2041 levels (eturbonews.com, 27-Apr-2015). There are 16 new European routes and five long-haul destinations, Addis Ababa, Chicago, Halifax, Los Angeles and Washington. This summer is set to be the busiest yet since passenger numbers reached their peak in 2008. The summer months will see 10 airlines operating 328 weekly services to and from 11 destinations in the US and four in Canada which equates to an average of 47 daily services to and from North America. Capacity on European routes is set to increase by 9%.
