Dublin Airport says low-cost long-haul carriers will result in introduction of thinner routes

Dublin Airport MD Vincent Harrison, speaking at the CAPA World Aviation Summit 2015, said (08-Oct-2015) some of the focus for low cost long-haul carriers will be the introduction of new, thinner routes, pointing to the recently announced Cork-Boston route by Norwegian Air International. New routes will be added by low cost long-haul carriers, in addition to competing on well-established trunk routes, which they can "attack" through lower fares.
