Donghai Airlines to expand fleet to 120 aircraft by 2025, including 787-9

Donghai Airlines stated (14-Sep-2015) the focus of its development will remain at its Shenzhen base, establishing a modern and internationalised mid-sized airline based in Shenzhen through continuous heavy investment over the next five to eight years. According to its plans, Donghai Airlines aims to expand its fleet to 120 aircraft consisting of Boeing 787-9s, 737-800s and 737MAX by 2025. The carrier currently has a fleet of 14 aircraft, with its cargo route network covering more than 10 domestic and international cities, including Seoul, Osaka, Manila, Hanoi and Phnom Penh. In Mar-2014 it successfully transitioned from a cargo carrier to a passenger carrier, now operating nine passenger routes from Shenzhen to 13 cities including Shanghai, Harbin, Shenyang, Halar and Kunming.
