Denver International Airport reports busiest month ever in Jul-2016

Denver International Airport passenger numbers up 9% - traffic highlights for Jul-2016:

• Passenger numbers: 5.5 million, +9.1% year-on-year;
• Cargo volume: 20,011 tonnes, -5.7%;
• • Freight and Express: 18,040 tonnes, -4.3%;

DIA CEO Kim Day said: "Denver International Airport continues to see record numbers of passengers as we continue the busy summer travel season, with United, Frontier, Southwest and Delta all adding seat capacity. We also saw a strong increase in international passenger traffic in July, which was bolstered by Lufthansa's decision to upgauge the aircraft used for its new nonstop flight to Munich, adding 25 per cent more seats for this popular route."
