Delta Air Lines president Edward Bastien stated the Japanese earthquake and tsunami has caused the number of passengers travelling with Delta through Asia to decline significantly (ABTN, 18-Apr-2011). Mr Bastien stated the carrier has seen a 25% reduction in traffic through Asia. He also stated that Delta had previously seen USD2 billion of revenue from Japan.
