Dart Group reports profit growth in 1HFY2013

Dart Group revenue up 31% - financial highlights for six months ended 30-Sep-2012:

  • Revenue: GBP584.5 million, +31.1% year-on-year;
    • Leisure airline: GBP388.0 million, +22.7%;
  • Net operating costs: GBP526.0 million, +30.4%;
  • Operating profit: GBP58.5 million, +38.3%;
  • Net profit: GBP43.1 million, +38.6%;
  • Passenger numbers: 3.6 million, +14%;
  • Load factor: 91.6%, +1.8 ppt;
  • Net ticket yield: GBP59.81, +13.6%;
  • Retail sales per passenger: GBP30.77, +10%;
  • Total assets: GBP563.6 million, +4.0% when compared to period ended 31-Mar-2012;
  • Cash and cash equivalents: GBP200.8 million, +168% when compared to period ended 31-Mar-2012;

Dart Group: "For Winter 2012/13, Jet2.com has increased capacity by 7%, with growth provided by additional services to the Canary Islands. Our ski services are enhanced by the addition of Grenoble as a new destination.
