Copenhagen Kastrup Airport pax down 1% in May-2015

Copenhagen Kastrup Airport passenger numbers down 1% - traffic highlights for May-2015:

• Passenger numbers: 2.3 million, -1.2% year-on-year;
• • Domestic: 139,377, -10.1%;
  • International: 2.2 million, -0.5%;
• Aircraft movements: 22,390, -1.6%;
• • Domestic: 2398, -3.4%;

The airport reported (11-Jun-2015) domestic traffic grew by 4.5% to Karup and by 4.5% to Rønne. However, domestic traffic was affected by reduction of capacity to a number of destinations by several airlines, and with a total of just over 16,000 fewer seats available, the number of domestic passengers dropped by almost the same number. Intercontinental traffic fell by 3.0%m partly as a result of a decline in the number of transfer passengers.
