Conference Board's Employment Trends Index declines

The Conference Board's US Employment Trends Index (ETI) decreased (07-Sep-2010) in Aug-2010 to 96.7, down from the Jul-2010 revised figure of 97.4. This is the second decline in the past four months. The index is up 9.4% year-on-year from a year ago. The behaviour of the index suggests that job growth may continue to slow further, although it is expected to continue. [more]
