Competition to increase on US-Africa flight routes

Delta spokeswoman Debbie Egerton announced "a second weekly service between Monrovia and Atlanta effective 02-Feb-2011 (bdfm, 24-Jan-2011). - see route changes table for more information. The service will route via Accra. Delta will also offer customers the opportunity to fly non-stop between Monrovia and Accra." Delta intends to serve up to 10 African destinations from the US. It intends to serve Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, and Nairobi, Kenya, once government approvals are received and "launch flights to Luanda, Angola, at a future date".
