Chicago O'Hare Airport announces 1% increase in Jan-2012 pax, cargo down 11%

US' Chicago O'Hare International Airport passenger numbers up 1.0% - traffic highlights for Jan-2012:

  • Passenger numbers: 4.8 million, +1.0% year-on-year;
    • Domestic: 4.0 million, +1.5%;
    • International: 739,027, -1.5%;
  • Cargo volume: 106,312 tonnes, -10.8%;
    • Freight: 92,188, -10.7%;
      • Domestic: 27,399, -13.5%;
      • International: 64,790, -9.4%;
    • Express: 8733, -13.7%;
    • Mail: 5390, -8.0%;
  • Aircraft movements: 67,893, -3.8%;
    • Domestic: 61,689, -3.6%;
    • International: 6204, -6.1%.
