British Airways vows to continue expanding in US

British Airways CEO, Willie Walsh, vowed to continue expanding its US services (Associated Press, 17-Jun-2010). The carrier is considering services from London City Airport to Boston, Chicago and Washington as trans-Atlantic traffic has remained "robust" despite the global financial downturn. The carrier operates to New York from London City. Mr Walsh also vowed to continue operations if cabin crew launch further strike action over summer 2010, stating the carrier would operate all long-haul services.
