Boeing statement on congressional letter regarding Airbus subsidies

Boeing issued a statement on 18-Dec-2009, after 125 members of US Congress released a letter urging the current US administration to ensure European compliance with a WTO ruling against "massive illegal subsidies" provided to Airbus. Boeing stated it is encouraged to see strong support for US action to end the "illegal subsidies that European governments have for decades provided to Airbus at the expense of American industry and its workers". Boeing also commented that Airbus appears poised to extend and continue the practice of using subsidies for its new aircraft, the A350 XWB. [more]
