Belavia takes delivery of first E175

Belavia stated (14-Sep-2012) it took delivery of its first of two 76-seat Embraer E175 aircraft, leased from Air Lease Corporation. Belavia's second E175 is scheduled for delivery later in 2012. Belavia plans to operate the two-class aircraft on services between Minsk and Moscow Domodedovo, Saint Petersburg, Baku, Yerevan, Paris and Milan. Belavia director general Anatoly Gusarov said, "We welcome this first E175 as a key aircraft in supporting our company's strategic development plan which will allow us to better match capacity to demand on our main European routes. The aircraft's seating capacity complements our narrow-body fleet, flying where it would be uneconomical to deploy larger aircraft and offering equivalent passenger comfort". [more - original PR]
