BA to withdraw short-haul premium cabin on some routes

British Airways is considering dropping Business class on a number of short-haul services, stating passengers have either downsized to economy or moved to LCCs (Breaking Travel News, 09-Feb-2010). Gatwick Airport and regional gateways are likely to be affected by the change, with the carrier reportedly planning to remove premium seats from aircraft operating from those bases. Heathrow services are unlikely to be affected.
