Aviation tax to be huge loss for Scotland

UK's Air Passenger Duty (APD) will (21-Feb-2011) cost the Scottish economy GBP77 million p/a in lost tourism and hinder the growth of the Scotland's international route network. Scotland's largest airports, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, and Glasgow, are xpected to lose approximately 1.2 million passengers over the next three years, with domestic routes to be hit the hardest. [more]
