Avianca files for IPO to raise up to USD100m in NYSE listing

Avianca filed (19-Sep-2013) for an IPO with the US Securities and Exchange Commission to raise up to USD100 million through the issuance of American Depository Shares (ADS) on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), with majority shareholders Synergy Aerospace and Kingsland Holding seeking to divest portions of their stock. Underwriters include JP Morgan, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, UBS Investment Bank, BTG Pactual, Citigroup and Deutsche Bank Securities. In its filing, Avianca noted 17% of its outstanding capital stock is represented by preferred shares listed on the Colombian Stock Exchange and that 70.3% of its voting common shares are held by Synergy, and 29% held by Kingsland.
